PAINTSVILLE — Several people were arrested recently and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Those arrested, according to the booking log at the jail, included:

Tuesday, Sept. 13

Jacob Rain Crockett, 21, of Apollo Lane, Hurricane, W.Va., theft, theft of contents from a vehicle and a traffic charge.

John D. Senters, 53, of Ky. 1690, Louisa, DUI, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone) and traffic charges.

Shawn M. Orengo, 33, of Ridgeway Street, Coal Grove, Ohio, DUI, possession of marijuana, criminal littering, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic charges.

Christopher Garr Maynard, 45, of Dans Branch, Pilgrim, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Jeremy W. King, 39, of Guest River Road, Norton, Va., theft and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

Aaron Black Justice, 28, of Dempsey Housing, Warfield, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment and receiving stolen property.

Robert C. Cyrus, 37, of Cyrus Hill Road, Fort Gay, W.Va., first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, third-degree possession of a controlled substance (unspecified), possession of marijuana and possession of a prescription drug not in a proper container.

Lavanna Tackett, 28, of River Road, Paintsville, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a prescription drug not in a proper container, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to pay fines.
