Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests and other criminal citations:

Lacy Scott

Lacy Scott, 55, of Lovely, was arrested Saturday in Lovely for drug paraphernalia-buy/possession. Sheriff Kirk reported Scott had two glass crack pipes with residue on them.

Lara Davis-Giacomoni

Lara Davis-Giacomoni, 39, of Lovely, was arrested Saturday in Lovely for second-degree burglary. Sheriff Kirk reported that Giacomoni entered a residence on Riverfront Road without being invited. The police report states that she and a male subject beat on the door with a wooden stick until a juvenile opened the door. The two then entered and threatened the juvenile. The juvenile told police the two stole a pair of shoes, groceries and a cellphone before fleeing the scene in a car. Constable Brad Preece caught up with the pair on Long Branch Road and made a traffic stop. The male driver fled on foot and escaped. Sheriff Kirk located the shoes and groceries inside the vehicle and found a wooden handle in the trunk. Police are searching for the male subject.

Derek Maynard

Derek Maynard, 32, of Inez, was arrested Friday for probation violation for a felony offense. Deputy Billy Patrick served the warrant at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

Steve Marcum

Steve Marcum, 53, of Inez, was arrested Thursday at the top of Turkey Hill in Inez on two bench warrants. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest.

Scott Marcum

Scott Marcum, 38, of Debord, was arrested Thursday at the top of Turkey Hill in Inez on three bench warrants. Deputy Kirk made the arrest.

Billy Perry

Billy Perry, 47, of Kermit, W.Va., was arrested Thursday in Warfield for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and cited for possession of marijuana. Sheriff Kirk stopped Perry at the Family Dollar, where he reportedly found a clear crystal-like substance inside a container in Perry’s watch pocket and a green leafy substance inside a bandana on the dash. Deputy David Adams assisted Sheriff Kirk.

Cara Fields

Cara Fields, 69, of Beauty, was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Thursday in Beauty for fourth-degree assault (child abuse). Deputy Chris Kidd was dispatched to a residence on Beauty Road for a fight in progress between Fields and her granddaughter. According to the report, the deputy found both females standing in the yard, and the juvenile had visible injuries on her face, legs and arms. The juvenile stated her grandmother slapped her and scratched her face and legs. Fields allegedly told the officer the juvenile would not stop running her mouth and she could not take it. The deputy contacted DSS.

Jordan Delong

Jordan Delong, 19, of Inez, was arrested Thursday at Setser Branch in Debord on a warrant for terroristic threatening and menacing. Deputy Adams made the arrest.

Michelle Horn

Michelle Horn, 39, of Inez, was arrested Thursday at Sav A Lot in Inez on a warrant for terroristic threatening and menacing. Adams made the arrest.

Joseph Francis Leirer III

Joseph Francis Leirer III, 43, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday at Riverside Apartments on a warrant for theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others. Adams served the warrant.

Patricia Adkins, 41, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday at Riverside Apartments for hindering prosecution or apprehension. According to the police report, Deputy Adams was serving a warrant on Joseph Leirer when Adkins kept advising he was not there. Adams stated that while Adkins kept telling officers that Leirer was not there, they heard him climb up in the loft to hide.

Patricia Adkins, 41, of Warfield, was charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500 Sept. 7 in Warfield. Deputy Kidd reported Adkins came to the Warfield Boat Ramp sign with another male and female and started loading up the decorative brick around the sign. According to the report, Adkins stated she wanted them for her house.

Austin Stanley, 20, of Beauty, was charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500 Sept. 7 in Warfield. Deputy Kidd reported Adkins came to the Warfield Boat Ramp sign with another male and female and started loading up the decorative brick around the sign. According to the report, Stanley stated the female wanted them for her house.

Earl Jude, 54, of Inez, was arrested Sept. 7 for trafficking in a controlled substance (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana. KSP Trooper Bond made the arrest.

Tommy Reed, 50, was cited for criminal littering Sept. 2 at the Trinity Church parking lot in Lovely. Sheriff Kirk reported Reed threw a cigarette onto the ground two separate times minutes apart. Kirk said he warned Reed when he threw the first one down. Reed was a passenger in a vehicle where the driver was arrested for DUI.
