Ernest ‘Ernie’ Goble

1958—2022

Ernest “Ernie” Goble, 63, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, and Inez, died Sept. 9, 2022.

He was born Dec. 1, 1958, to the late William and Edna Daniels Goble in Columbus, Ohio.

Ernie recently retired from C&W due to his failing health. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his sons, who he loved deeply. He also enjoyed talking about faith and often requested prayer for those who were struggling physically, emotionally or financially (whether he knew them personally or not). He had a heart for those in need and gave as he was able of his time and resources.

Ernie overcame many personal challenges in life while maintaining a strong moral compass and an unwavering faith in God. He also had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, which will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank all of you who have expressed love and concern as well as the staff at Fairfield Medical Center for the excellent care.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Jennifer Goble; sons Isaac (Crystal Sheets) Goble, Cody Goble and Tanner Goble; stepson Tyler Newton; grandchildren Lucille, Ava and Xander Goble; brother Mark (Susan) Goble; and nephew Benjamin Goble.

Cremation has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place Oct. 1, 2022, at noon at Crum Funeral Home in Inez. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Donations in Ernie’s name can be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
