INEZ — Martin County Water District recorded 428 customer cutoffs for delinquent accounts from May 2025 through May 2026, according to a report it filed with the Kentucky Public Service Commission.
The monthly total peaked at 55 cutoffs in June 2025. The district reported 42 in April 2026 and 26 in May 2026, while December 2025 had the fewest at six.
The district also reported 548 accounts closed during the period, a broader category that includes turnoffs and cutoffs for nonpayment.
During the same period, the district reported opening 298 accounts. That category includes turn-ons, occupant changes and service changes.
The report is part of the PSC’s continuing oversight of the district under Case No. 2020-00154.
