As Christians, we have Jesus. No religion has anyone or anything like Him. Jesus is everything to us. In fact Christianity is NOT a religion. It’s a relationship with a living Savior! Our life, our hope, our joy, our purpose, our savior, our guide, our strength, our reason for living. He is alive and well and actively pursuing us and leading us in our lives. We have a Lord who loves us and a Lord who will reward us. We don’t need anything else once we have met Jesus. We don’t need anything this world offers — fame, pleasures, riches or glory; we have it all in Christ.
Colossians 2:3: “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” In Jesus is God’s answer to every question and need we have. Jesus is God’s wisdom. Jesus contains all the knowledge of the ages, for He is God.
It is hidden from those who do not trust in Christ. Christ is hidden from those who have rejected Him. So all the wisdom and knowledge of God will not be known to those who do not know Jesus Christ.
Mankind is very smart. Nations around the world are looking forward to Agenda 2030. This is the world’s plan to bring about a sustainable future for the planet by Dec. 31, 2030. It calls for an end to wars, hunger, poverty and global warming. It promotes social justice, education for all, justice for all, a job for all, and equal rights for everyone regardless of skin color or sexual orientation.
It sounds so good until you read between the lines and it all boils down to socialism. This is nothing less than communism, dictatorship, all repackaged with a ribbon on it. No land ownership and no national borders.
You know this is man’s effort to build the tower of Babel again. A fallen man cannot build a righteous kingdom. It’s impossible. They are falling right into the trap of the antichrist, who will step into history very soon and make all their dreams come true. And then turn it into a nightmare.
Colossians 2:9: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
If we look to the teachings and philosophies of men, we’ll never find completeness, because men differ because of environment, family, and many other influences. That’s why you get so many different religions and ideas about the answer to life. How can a fallen man give you ultimate answers anyway?
The fullness of God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, dwells in God the Son—the Lord Jesus Christ. God has given us answers, and they’re found in a person: Jesus Christ. Not the Jesus that men make up, but the Jesus of the Bible, the word of God. For Jesus is the word of God, the final word of God to man. The complete word of God to man is Jesus Christ. There will be nothing added or nothing taken away from that which is revealed in Him.
In the 1800s, gold miners would bring in fool’s gold. It looked like gold and felt like gold, but it was iron pyrite, an iron sulfide. This mineral’s metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname of fool’s gold.
If you find something other than Christ, or another Christ, you have found fool’s gold. Pyrite fools people who don’t know what real gold is. We only know what real gold is if we have experienced real gold. We who have experienced Him and know Him have found the real gold.
