WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Magistrate Court released these criminal cases during the week of Aug. 17.

Amanda Williamson, 50, of Caney Fork Road, Kentucky, was charged with burglary. She allegedly broke into a home on Persinger Drive in the Fairview Addition area of Williamson on June 15. The owner, Truman Chafin, stopped by to check on the house and found the suspect sleeping in a bed.

Williamson left the scene and Chafin followed her to West Williamson near the Fieldhouse. He told law enforcement he then lost sight of her. She had apparently entered the building, but was told to leave by workers there.

Williamson allegedly left dirty pots and pans, along with trash, in the kitchen at the Chafin home.

Williamson Police Department Patrolman N. Fleming and Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Endicott investigated at the scene. West Virginia State Police Trooper D.S. Evans arrested her Aug. 13.

On Aug. 13, Williamson was found on a float in a swimming pool on Beech Street in West Williamson. The homeowner, Michael Bucci, came home to find a random woman he did not know on his property using his pool without permission.

Williamson was charged with trespassing and obstructing an officer. WVSP Trooper J. Morrison arrested her during that incident.

In other cases, Carrie Ann Ferguson, 44, no address available, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, trespassing and public intoxication. MCSD deputies arrested her Aug. 12.

Cameron Ratcliff, 24, of Crum, was charged with obstructing an officer. Deputy T.J. Justice arrested him Aug. 14.

Robert Lee Gravely, 64, no address available, was charged with obstructing an officer, assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct Aug. 14. Deputies J. Tincher and A. Moore arrested him.

Brandon Puckett, 35, of Louisa, Kentucky, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, driving with defective equipment and no insurance. Sr. Trooper J. Marcum arrested him Aug. 15.

Patsy (Nikki) Elkins, 32, of Williamson, was charged with petit larceny and transferring and receiving stolen goods. She was arrested Aug. 24, 2025, by Sr. Trooper C.K. Johnson.

Margret L. Reed of Ironton, Ohio, was arrested Aug. 17 by Deputies J. May and M. Tiller for no seatbelt, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Schedule I or II.

Larry Lester, 30, of Gilbert, was charged with intimidation and retaliation of a public-safety officer. He was arrested Aug. 19 by the sheriff’s department after an incident involving a Gilbert Police Department officer.

George Casey, 48, of Red Jacket, was charged with destruction of property. Deputies J. Tincher and M. Lendea arrested him Aug. 20.

Garrett Epling, 38, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, was charged with trespassing and destruction of property (natural gas lines). Matewan Police Chief David Stratton arrested him Aug. 20, with assistance from the MCSD.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
