CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Bertha Jude

Bertha Jude, 46, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested Aug. 10 on Court Street in Inez on an indictment warrant charging her with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. Deputy David Adams served the warrant at 9:07 a.m. after Jude turned herself in.

Martin Cline

Martin Cline, 62, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 9 on Riverfront Road in Lovely on a Lawrence Circuit Court bench warrant. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant at 6:51 p.m.

Martin Gillespie

Martin Gillespie, 52, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 9 on Emily Creek Road in Pilgrim on a Martin District Court warrant charging him with receiving stolen property valued at $1,000 to $10,000. Deputy Kirk served the warrant at 2:56 p.m.

Lonnie Pauley

Lonnie Pauley, 63, of Inez, was arrested Aug. 7 on Rockcastle Road in Inez on an indictment warrant charging him with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. Deputy Kirk served the warrant at 12:13 a.m.

April N. Howell (Fletcher)

April N. Howell, aka Fletcher, 39, of Little Rockcastle Road, Inez, was arrested Aug. 7 as a fugitive from another state based on a warrant from Mingo County, West Virginia. She was also served with a Martin District Court warrant charging her with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, all others, valued at $10,000 to $1 million. Deputies David Adams and J.C. Kirk served the warrants.

James Edward Maynard

James E. Maynard, 59, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 6 on Riverfront Road in Lovely on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine). Deputy Kirk served the warrant at 10:17 p.m.

Kassandra Hamilton

Kassandra Hamilton, 34, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 6 on Riverfront Road in Lovely on two indictment warrants, each charging her with first-degree bail jumping, and a Martin Circuit Court warrant charging her with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense. Deputy Kirk served the warrants at 10:04 p.m.

Crystal Lee Hazlett

Crystal Lee Hazlett, 45, of Inez, was arrested Aug. 6 on Bill Hammond Road in Inez on charges of first-degree promoting contraband and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, less than 20 dosage units. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest at 7:53 p.m.

Brian Howell

Brian Howell, 47, of Inez, was arrested Aug. 6 on Court Street in Inez on a bench warrant. Deputy Billy Wells served the warrant at noon after Howell turned himself in.

Lige M. Marcum

Lige M. Marcum, 55, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 5 on Court Street in Inez on a bench warrant for failure to appear. Deputy Adams served the warrant at 2:52 p.m. after Marcum turned himself in.
