Russell Mollett
1936—2026

Russell Mollett, 89, of Inez, passed away Aug. 8, 2026, at the Jordan Center in Louisa.

Born Aug. 17, 1936, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Nimrod and Cora Lee (Cassidy) Mollett.

Russell was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Moore) Mollett; four brothers, Dewey Mollett, Earl Mollett, Chester Mollett and Willie Mollett; and four sisters, Helen Mollett, Ruby Mollett, Bobbie Mollett and Dosha Mollett.

Survivors include two brothers, Troy Mollett of Tomahawk and Alonzo Mollett of Paintsville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, 498 New Route 3, Inez, with Billy Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Mollett Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
