
INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Johnna C. Perdue, 20, was arrested July 28 on charges of probation violation (for a felony offense), criminal mischief in the first degree, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance and persistent felony offender. Deputy David Adams made the arrest.

Ruby M. Chaffins, 51, of Inez, was arrested July 28 at the sheriff’s office on an indictment warrant charging her with receiving stolen property, criminal trespassing third degree, theft of motor vehicle registration plate and possession of marijuana. Deputy Billy Wells served the warrant at 11:08 a.m. after Chaffins turned herself in.

Jason Fields, 41, of Inez, was arrested July 28 at the sheriff’s office on an indictment warrant charging him with complicity to receiving stolen property valued at less than $10,000, third-degree criminal trespassing, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license. Deputy Andrew Chapman served the warrant at 11:09 a.m. after Fields turned himself in.

Homer Evans, 69, of Lovely, was arrested July 28 at the sheriff’s office on a criminal complaint charging him with third-degree criminal trespassing and theft by unlawful taking or disposition. Deputy Chapman served the warrant at 9:11 a.m. after Evans turned himself in.
