1950—2026

Oreatha June (Muncy) Stanley, 75, of Beauty, died July 20, 2026, in Huntington, West Virginia.

Born Dec. 31, 1950, on Marrowbone Creek in Mingo County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Allen Muncy and Ernestine (Baisden) Muncy.

Oreatha attended Kermit High School and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. She retired after many years as the director of the Warfield Middle School Youth Service Center.

With a servant’s heart, Oreatha owned and operated Helping Hands Food Pantry in Beauty, which her family plans to continue.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walt Baisden and Betty Baisden; her paternal grandfather, Alex Harmon; her paternal grandmother, Pearl Muncy; and her brothers, Stanley Muncy, Herb (Helen) Muncy and Allen “June” Muncy Jr.

Survivors include Oretha’s beloved husband, Wendell Stanley; her son, Tyrel Stanley; and her daughter, Megan Stanley. She also leaves behind her brother, Walter Muncy; sister, Betty (Tom) Crum; special cousin, Glenn Baisden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“She is no longer in pain and is cuttin’ a rug in the sky with her brother Herbie.”

Funeral Services were conducted at noon July 23, 2026, at Mullins Funeral Home in Warfield.
