Susie Fletcher Mahon
1932—2026

Susie Fletcher Mahon, 93, of Debord, passed away July 19, 2026, at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

Born Nov. 11, 1932, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Jefferson Fletcher and Isabell Fletcher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tennis Lee Mahon; one brother, Robert Fletcher Jr.; daughters-in-law Wagalene Mahon and Norma Mahon; sons-in-law Frank M. Jarrell, Alvin Newsome and Kennith Runyon.

Susie is survived by two sons, James Mahon of Debord and Boone Mahon of Inez; four daughters, Doris Jarrell of Catlettsburg, Judith Newsome of Kermit, West Virginia, Ruth Runyon of Tomahawk and Brenda (Donald) Fraley of Inez; one brother, Boonie (Linda) Fletcher of Thelma; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the New Friendship Church with David Marcum officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday after 6 p.m. and Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
