Martin County arrest report

Martin County Sheriff John Kirk

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Robert Braydon Moore

Robert Brayden Moore, 18, of Debord, was arrested July 12 on Turkey Creek in Inez on a charge of second-degree assault.

Deputy David Adams responded to assist Martin County Sheriff John Kirk with a fight in progress. A neighbor had reported a group of people drinking and fighting at the location.

According to the arrest citation, Moore had blood on his clothing when officers arrived. The deputy learned during the investigation that Moore had allegedly assaulted and possibly stabbed Chris Mann, who had already been taken to a hospital for treatment.

Mann and two witnesses told the deputy that Moore stabbed Mann in the back during the altercation.

Two additional witnesses said Ethan Williams and Braden Bowen had been involved in a dispute before the assault, and they believed that dispute prompted Moore to attack Mann.

Moore allegedly admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and that he, Williams and Bowen had been involved in an altercation. He reportedly said he could not remember why he and Mann were fighting and did not remember stabbing him.

The citation states that Mann sustained a wound to his back and a large laceration to the back of his head.

Sheriff Kirk later spoke with the attending physician and hospital staff, who said Mann’s injuries were consistent with a knife wound.

Ance M. Marcum

Ance M. Marcum, 39, was arrested July 10 on Walnut Drive in Lovely on warrants charging him with theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $10,000 or more and fleeing or evading police, second degree (on foot). Deputy David Adams served the warrants at 5:40 p.m.

Micheal S. Fuggett, 42, of Lovely, was arrested July 9 on Big Branch in Lovely on a charge of criminal trespassing, third degree (attempt). Deputy Brett Maynard was dispatched to 165 Big Branch in reference to a male walking around a residence. When he arrived, he found Fuggett sitting on the porch. The homeowner advised that she had told Fuggett she did not want him there. When asked to leave, the officer said Fuggett refused.

Brandy Moore

Brandy Moore, 36, of Inez, was arrested July 9 on Court Street in Inez on warrants charging her with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense, and criminal littering. Deputy David Adams served the warrants.

Sidney Webb

Sidney Webb, 31, of Warfield, was arrested July 8 at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on charges of resisting arrest and hindering prosecution or apprehension, second degree.

Deputy Zack Waller was on patrol when he saw Ance Marcum working on his truck in the parking lot at Dempsey Housing. The deputy knew Marcum had an active warrant and advised him that he was under arrest.

That is when Marcum fled on foot into a residence. Webb allegedly entered directly behind him and locked the door, preventing the deputy from entering and taking Marcum into custody.

While the deputy was delayed at the locked door, Marcum escaped through another exit and fled the area, successfully evading arrest.

Homer Gary Evans

Homer Gary Evans, 69, of Lovely, was arrested July 7 on KY 292 in Lovely on charges of public intoxication by a controlled substance, excluding alcohol; third-degree possession of an unspecified controlled substance; and first-offense possession of a prescription controlled substance not in its proper container.

Deputy Adams responded to a complaint of a burglary in progress at 7737 Riverfront Road. Upon arrival, he found Evans on the property, allegedly nodding in and out with droopy eyes and slurred, quiet speech.

According to the arrest citation, Evans repeatedly claimed that he lived at the residence. The deputy observed mud and what appeared to be blood on a side door. Evans had an actively bleeding scrape on his arm and was covered in mud consistent with evidence found at the scene.

Following the arrest, the deputy allegedly found an unlabeled prescription bottle containing 10 round white pills marked “TEVA” and “834” in Evans’ possession. The pills were identified as 2-milligram clonazepam tablets.

Kaylee Wolfe

Kaylee Wolfe, 18, of Debord, was arrested July 7 on Davis Branch Middlefork Road in Debord on charges of assault, fourth degree (domestic violence), minor injury, and alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense.

According to the arrest citation, an off-deputy was visiting relatives on Davis Branch when he saw Wolfe on the ground, rolling around and screaming at her boyfriend, who was holding a 2-year-old child. The deputy said that when Wolfe noticed him nearby, she stood and began cursing her boyfriend.

The officer noted that he instructed Wolfe to go inside and go to bed because she was unsteady on her feet and her speech was impaired. About five minutes after leaving, he was called back to the residence, where he observed the boyfriend with scratches on his arms and a bite mark on his back.

The boyfriend reportedly told police that he had been trying to take the child away from Wolfe and that she threatened to kill both him and the child.

Wolfe allegedly admitted to drinking two 16-ounce Natty Daddy beverages and striking her boyfriend twice because he woke her. She said she also pushed him away while he was holding the child, police said.

Sheriff Kirk transported Wolfe to booking.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
