James Lucian Horn
1931—2026

James Lucian Horn, age 94, of Debord, passed away July 10, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born Oct. 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Eloise and Jack Horn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Colleen Moore.

James is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Monica (Preece) Horn, and his two sons, James Michael (Brenda) Horn and Gregory Clinton (Carolyn) Horn, both of Hazard. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren: Missy (David) Dixon, Christy Horn (Chuck) Bryant, Heather (Anthony) Haddix, Valeriea (Jason) Holder and Krystle Horn; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and his best friend for many years, William “Mug” Hardin.

James was a devoted member of the Baptist faith and an avid fisherman and hunter.

Services were held Monday, July 13, 2026, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez with Gene Burnette officiating. Burial followed at Preece Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home.
