Barbara Jean (Jude) Pauley
1968—2026

Barbara Jean (Jude) Pauley, age 58, of Lovely, passed away July 2, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, following a brief illness.

Barb was married to her loving husband, Lon Pauley, for 41 years. Lon says he could not have found a better wife and he loved her dearly.

She worked hard at many jobs over the years, including restaurants, housekeeping and in-home care for the ill and elderly.

Four years ago, Lon and Barbara were blessed with four wonderful foster children whom they adopted last May. Blake, Paxton, Noah and Kinsley brought so much joy to their lives. Barbara loved them so much and was so proud of each one. She loved to talk about them and their accomplishments.

Barbara was the daughter of Calvin and Vinie Jude, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her older sister, Juanita Pinson and her brother, Lonnie Jude. Siblings still living are brothers Sherman (Judy) Jude, Johnny Jude and Bobby (Kim) Jude and sisters Judy K Adams and Brenda (Bobby Gene) Maynard. She also leaves behind special friends, Phillip and Loretta Jude, and a host of family and friends who loved her so much.

Barbara was a member of the Little Martha Church for many years. She loved the Lord with all her heart and looked forward to the day when she could go home to be with Him and be reunited with her family, especially her parents.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez, with Shaun Jude officiating and Little Martha Church. Burial followed at the Jude-Howell Cemetery on Big Peter Cave of Pigeon Roost. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
