Robert Hinkle
1949—2026

Robert Hinkle, 76, of Inez, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2026, at his home.

Born Aug. 2, 1949, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Bill Hinkle and Molly Stepp Hinkle.

Robert was the owner of Hinkle Lumber Company and was well known throughout the community for his hard work and dedication.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Hinkle; one son, Bobby (Jackie) Hinkle, of Inez; three daughters, Susan (Danny) Bowen, Robin (Chris) Gamble, and Lisa (Kenny) Spencer, all of Inez; grandchildren, Cody Bowen, Robby Bowen, Jake Spencer, Zack McKenzie, Joanna Hinkle and Timmy Noble; great-grandchildren, Chloe Bowen, Colton Harper, Lilly Bowen and Justin Bowen; and many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with burial at the Hinkle Cemetery in Inez. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
