
Linda Sue Wallace Deskins
1950—2026
Linda Sue Wallace Deskins, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away peacefully Friday, June 26, 2026, at ARH Hospital in Williamson. She was 75 years old.
Born Dec. 30, 1950, in Mason County, she was the daughter of the late Odell Wallace and Josephine Treadway Wallace.
Linda retired as a cook with the Mingo County Board of Education after many years of dedicated service. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star of Kermit.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who treasured her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Quinn Deskins; her son, Tony Deskins; her grandson, Alex Deskins; three brothers, Carl Wallace, Lester Wallace and Earl Wallace; and one sister, Madeline Wallace.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Dee Dee Deskins of Kermit; her grandchildren, Anakin Deskins of Kermit, Jordan Hensley and Austin Hensley of Columbus, Ohio; her great-grandchildren, Flora, Jude and Oliver; her sisters, Jeri and Ed Rike of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, Ilene and Kenny Dubbs of Newark, Delaware, and Dot Sterr of Columbus, Ohio; special nieces Denise, Renee, Dianna, Misty and Sabrina; her sister-in-law, Midge Arends; her brothers-in-law, William T. Deskins and Russell and Linda Deskins; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends; and her faithful companion, her beloved dog, Baby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield, Kentucky, with Ken Allen and Eric Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia. Friends may visit the family at the chapel Monday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.
