CITIZEN STAFF REPORT
INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

James Shannon Wood, 46, of Williamson, West Virginia, was arrested Tuesday at Dempsey Housing in Warfield and charged with second-degree criminal trespass.
Deputy David Adams responded to a complaint that Woods was trespassing on the property. Upon arrival, Dempsey management advised they had received complaints and reviewed video footage allegedly showing Woods on the premises. Management also spoke with a resident who stated that Woods was not inside the apartment.
After the resident granted permission for both management and law enforcement to enter, Adams discovered Woods hiding beneath a child’s bed, wrapped in blankets.
“I am familiar with Mr. Wood from a previous incident during which he was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants after I responded to a domestic complaint involving him,” Adams stated in his report. “At that time, property management was present and personally advised Mr. Wood that he was barred from the Dempsey property and was not permitted to return.”

Larry Joe Horn, 58, was arrested June 18 in the Martin Circuit Courtroom on warrants issued by the Lawrence Circuit Court. Constable Bradford Preece served the warrants at 11:20 a.m.

Jerry Thomas Spence, 49, was booked June 18 as a transferred state-controlled intake prisoner.

Shawn David Moore, 46, was arrested June 17 at Quail Hollow Apartments II in Inez on bench warrants from Martin County and Floyd County. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrants at 8:17 p.m.

Aaron Michael Jude, 30, was arrested June 17 at Dempsey Housing in Warfield and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree criminal trespass.
Deputy Brett Maynard responded to a 911 call reporting an altercation involving Jude and Kelli Stacy. Stacy told police Jude arrived at the residence looking for her husband. She said an argument ensued and that Jude grabbed her arm, partially pulled her toward his vehicle, chambered a round in a handgun and pointed it at her face before fleeing the scene in a silver Pontiac G6.
Police said three witnesses provided statements consistent with Stacy’s account.
Investigators later located Jude at a relative’s residence on Venters Branch Lane in Debord. Jude admitted he had argued with Stacy but claimed he chambered the firearm only to scare away individuals approaching him.
According to the report, Jude initially told officers he had given the Taurus 9mm pistol to his brother, who denied receiving it. Jude later produced the firearm from a closet and admitted it was the weapon involved in the incident. He allegedly said he lied about its location because he did not want it seized.
Dempsey management advised law enforcement that Jude had previously been barred from the property.

Michael Glen Spaulding, 44, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested June 17 in Warfield on an indictment warrant charging him with attempted receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000. Deputy Zack Waller served the warrant at 8:37 p.m.

Timothy A. Mullett, 29, was arrested June 16 and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense, and first-degree disorderly conduct.
