INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Charlene Renay Carter, 35, of Pilgrim, was arrested June 9 on a warrant for contempt of court.

David Joshua Brown, 40, of Lovely, was arrested June 9 in Paintsville on two indictment warrants charging him with fleeing or evading police in the second degree, receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, and persistent felony offender. Deputy David Adams served the warrants.

Robert Davis Meade, 74, of Inez, was arrested June 9 on Coldwater Road in Inez on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree burglary and third-degree terroristic threatening. Deputy Adams served the warrant at 11:06 a.m.

James Shannon Woods, 46, of Williamson, West Virginia, was arrested June 9 at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on three bench warrants from Pike County. Deputy Adams served the warrants at approximately 10 a.m.
According to court documents, one of the warrants ordered Woods’ arrest on a contempt matter related to child support. The warrant states that a $360 cash bond was to be applied to child support obligations upon posting.
A second warrant was issued after Woods allegedly failed to appear in court. The underlying charges in that case include fourth-degree assault involving dating violence with minor injury, second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespass. Court records indicate Woods was listed as a fugitive after failing to appear for a pretrial conference April 29, 2025.
A third warrant alleged Woods failed to appear in court. The warrant stemmed from a series of traffic-related charges, including no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure to maintain required insurance, failure to produce an insurance card, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to wear a seat belt, obstructed vision, failure to register the transfer of a motor vehicle and failure to notify transportation officials of an address change.
Tyler Harless, 28, of Warfield, was arrested June 6 at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on an indictment warrant charging him with trafficking marijuana, 8 ounces to 5 pounds, first offense. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant at 12:53 a.m.

James Hubert Lee Presley, 42, of Inez, was arrested June 4 on East Main Street in Inez on an indictment warrant charging him with flagrant non-support. Sheriff Kirk served the warrant at 3:02 p.m.

Mike McCoy, 63, of Tomahawk, was arrested June 4 on Roger Moore Road in Tomahawk on an indictment warrant from Martin County. Sheriff Kirk served the warrant at 9:04 p.m.

Ronald Chadwick Crum, 47, of Tomahawk, was arrested June 4 on Ford Place Road in Tomahawk on a warrant from Martin Circuit Court charging him with flagrant non-support. Sheriff Kirk served the warrant at 8:23 p.m.

Christopher Lee Maynard, 43, of Lovely, was arrested June 3 on KY-1714 in Lovely on a bench warrant from Martin District Court charging him with contempt of court. Deputy Adams served the warrant at 10:03 a.m.

Jordan Delong, 22, of Debord, was arrested June 3 on KY-40 in Inez on a warrant from Martin District Court charging him with fleeing or evading police, first degree (motor vehicle); fleeing or evading police, first degree (on foot), wanton endangerment, first degree (police officer); wanton endangerment, first degree; no registration receipt; no registration lates; leaving scene of accident-failure to render aid or assistance; and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance/security, first offense. Deputy Adams served the warrant at 11:02 a.m.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
