Kiwanis parade to kick off Fourth of July celebration

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — Red, white and blue will fill downtown Inez on July 4 as the Kiwanis Club sponsors an Independence Day parade ahead of an evening of music, food and fireworks.

The parade will line up at 4:30 p.m. at the Martin County Pool and begin at 5 p.m. along Main Street.

Kiwanis president Melissa Phelps announced Thursday that the parade will be part of the community’s larger Fourth of July celebration. There will be music and food vendors on Court Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by the annual fireworks display at the Collier Center, she said.

Throughout the evening, Kiwanis members will also be serving their world-famous lemonade on Court Street.

Phelps invites everyone to participate in the parade.
