DEA, Drug Task Force arrest two on cocaine, marijuana charges

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Two Williamson men were arrested Thursday after DEA agents and members of the U.S. 119 Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a West 5th Avenue residence and allegedly discovered cocaine, marijuana and multiple firearms inside the home.

Damari Young, 19, and Dredon Young, 21, were arrested Thursday, May 21 at a residence at 22 West 5th Avenue.

While executing a search warrant, officers encountered Damari Young in a front bedroom. Young was holding a Kel-Tec .552 rifle, but placed the weapon down and surrendered to the Task Force officers.

Then officers found Dredon Young and Aousaray Young in a rear bedroom.

Officers found distribution amounts of cocaine and marijuana in the room where Dredon Young was located, along with a Draco rifle, an AR-15 rifle and a pistol.

In the kitchen, officers found multiple plastic baggies, baking soda and a blender in a cabinet above the refrigerator.

Both Damari Young and Dredon Young were placed under arrest by the Task Force and DEA officers and charged with conspiracy and delivery of both cocaine and marijuana.

They were both arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court and bond was set at $50,000 each. They were then lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
