Opal (Spurlock) Kirk
1943—2026

Opal (Spurlock) Kirk, 82, of Breeden, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Aug. 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hester (Vance) Spurlock.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Luther Kirk, son Earnie Spurlock, as well as several brothers and sisters.

Opal was a homemaker and attended Turkey Creek United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenna (Donnie) Baisden of Breeden; three grandchildren, Adrienne (Joshua) Marcum of Lenore, DJ (Christa) Baisden of East Fork of Twelvepole, and Roger (Kayla) Baisden of Kermit; eight great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral Services were held at the Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield on Friday, May 15, 2026, with Greg Taylor officiating. Burial followed at the Spurlock Cemetery in Breeden. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
