Edward Gess
1954—2026

Edward Gess, 71, of Lovely, went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born Aug. 1, 1954, he was the son of the late Taylor and Mary Della (Arrowood) Gess.

Edward was a retired parts technician and attended the Holiness Church of God in Hode.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Emanuel and Ricie Lee, sister Wanda Davis and daughter Crystal Robinson.

Survivors include his wife of 52 loving years, Brenda (Bailey) Gess; his daughter Jennifer (Ricky) Booth of Lenore, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Ricky, Abigail and Joe Booth; two brothers, Robert Gess and Larry (Lavonne) Gess; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him.

Funeral services were conducted May 9, 2026, at Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield with Lloyd Alley officiating. Burial took place at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mahor, West Virginia, under the direction of Mullins Family Funeral Home.
