The Big Sandy Area Community Action Program is offering scholarship opportunities for eligible residents in the Big Sandy region through its Community Services Block Grant program.

The agency will award two types of scholarships.

The CSBG Scholarship provides a one-time award of $500 to 10 individuals.

The Eula Hall Community Advocate Scholarship offers a one-time award of $2,000 to one recipient.

Scholarship packets are available for pickup at local BSACAP offices. In Martin County, the office is in the Collier Center, 387 East Main Street, in Inez. The number is 606-298-3217.

Completed applications must be mailed and postmarked to the BSACAP Central Office,  230 Court Street, Paintsville, KY 41240 by Monday, June 22.
