NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — Tug Valley senior point guard Braydun Ferris has been selected to the South squad for the annual North-South All-Star game to be played June 19 at the South Charleston Community Center.

Ferris is a four-time All-Stater and helped lead the Panthers to three straight Class A state championships.

“I’m truly blessed to be picked to play with the best players in the state. I’m looking forward to playing with them and having Coach by my side one last time,” Ferris said.

His high school coach Garland “Rabbit” Thompson is one of the coaches for the South team so Ferris will get to play for his high school mentor one more time.

Ferris has received a few offers to play college basketball, but has yet to decide where he will continue his education and hoops career.

There will likely be some college coaches at the upcoming all-star game, so Ferris might catch the eye of a couple of other programs.

He was the captain of the Class A All-State team. Ferris averaged nearly 25 ppg his senior season, along with five assists and two steals.

He scored 30 points twice and 26 in the title game win over Greater Beckley Christian in the state tourney.

The West Virginia Athletic Directors Association has announced rosters for the North-South All-Star Basketball games.
