CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Rose Ellen Johnson

Rose Ellen Johnson, 54, of Inez, was arrested April 20 in Inez on an indictment warrant charging her with three counts of burglary in the third degree, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief, second degree. Deputy Brett Maynard served the warrant at 10 p.m.

Joshua Scott

Joshua Scott, 39, of Debord, was arrested April 20 on Nichols Street in Inez on charges of possession of controlled substance first degree and first offense (drug unspecified) and possession of a controlled substance third degree (drug unspecified).

According to Deputy David Adams, Scott dropped a yellow bag inside the Martin County Government Center on April 16. Janitors found the bag after hours and turned it over to Sheriff Kirk.

Adams said the bag contained three clear plastic bags, including two with a white powder substance and one with four round white pills. Officers also found a clear glass jar containing a piece of paper towel and one oval white pill believed to be Gabapentin, according to Adams.

After reviewing video surveillance, officers identified Scott as the person who dropped the bag, Adams said.

Rita Lynn Maynard

Rita Lynn Maynard, 54, of Lovely, was arrested April 18 on North Wolf Creek Road in Lovely on a bench warrant for Martin Circuit Court. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant at 10:48 p.m.

Michael Wayne Farley

Michael Wayne Farley, 47, of Inez, was arrested April 17 on Camp Branch Road in Inez on a bench warrant for Martin Circuit Court. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant at 9:05 p.m.

Jerry Miles Marcum

Jerry Miles Marcum, 44, of Morganfield, was arrested April 17 at Paw Paw Drive in Lovely on a warrant from Greenup Circuit Court charging him with third-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment, public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and probation violation (for felony offense). Constable Bradford Preece served the warrant.

Shawn David Moore

Shawn David Moore, 46, of Inez, was arrested April 16 for contempt of court/libel/slander/resistance to order.

Carmel Stacy

Carmel Stacy, 45, of Debord, was arrested April 16 on Crum Branch in Debord on a bench warrant from Lawrence District Court charging him with contempt of court for a traffic violation. Deputy David Adams served the warrant at 11:41 p.m.

Tracy Dawn Vanover

Tracy Dawn Vanover, 53, of Tomahawk, was arrested April 15 in Tomahawk on a bench warrant from Martin District Court charging her with contempt of court for a traffic violation. Deputy David Adams served the warrant at 6:35 p.m.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
