CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Gary Lee Gamble Sr.

Gary Lee Gamble Sr., 65, was arrested April 12 on Route 40 in Tomahawk on charges of first-degree and first- offense trafficking in controlled substance (methamphetamine), first-degree and second offense possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and first-degree and first offense possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified).

Deputy Zach Waller stopped Gamble after noticing a taillight out on his truck. During the stop, he found multiple baggies containing a crystal-like substance along with digital scales and additional baggies. According to the police report, law enforcement seized about 16 grams of suspected meth.

Gary Lee Gamble Jr.

Gary Lee Gamble Jr., 47, was arrested April 12 on Route 40 in Tomahawk on first-degree and first-offense possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two bench warrants. Gamble was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his father, Gary Lee Gamble Sr., during a traffic stop. During the stop, Deputy Waller learned that Gamble Jr. had outstanding bench warrants. The police report states that Gamble Jr. pulled a baggie from his pocket containing a crystal-like substance.

Joshua Lee Moore

Joshua Lee Moore, 28, was arrested April 12 on Buck Branch in Lovely on a bench warrant for court. Deputy Brett Maynard served the warrant.

Ruby Mae Chaffins

Ruby Mae Chaffins, 50, of Inez, was arrested April 8 in Inez on a complaint warrant from Johnson County charging her with theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $1,000-$10,000. Deputy Jameson Wall served the warrant at 12:42 a.m.

Danese Deon Chaffins

Denese Chaffins, 34, of Inez, was arrested April 8 on Peter Cave Road/Rockcastle in Inez on a complaint warrant from Johnson County charging her with theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $1,000-$10,000. Deputy Wall served the warrant at 12:42 a.m.

Courtney Megan Moore

Courtney M. Moore, 29, of Inez, was arrested April 7 on Fitch Branch in Inez on two warrants for contempt of court/libel/slander/resistance to order. Deputy Wall served the warrants at 6:36 p.m.

Stephanie Fitch, 37, of Lovely, was arrested April 4 on Buck Branch Road in Lovely on a complaint warrant from Johnson County charging her with theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $1,000-$10,000. Deputy Wall served the warrant at 10:54 p.m.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
