TOMAHAWK — A traffic stop Sunday night in Martin County led to the seizure of about 16 grams of suspected methamphetamine and the arrest of two Inez men—a father and son.
Martin County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a white 2011 Chevrolet truck about 8 p.m. on Route 40 near the old Tomahawk School after noticing the vehicle had a taillight out.
During the stop, deputies learned that a passenger, Gary Gamble Jr., 47, had two outstanding bench warrants. Gamble Jr. allegedly produced a baggie from his pocket containing a crystal-like substance and told law enforcement it was “meth.”

The driver, Gary Gamble Sr., 65, then consented to a search of the truck, deputies said. During that earch, officers reported finding multiple baggies containing a crystal-like substance along with digital scales and additional plastic baggies commonly associated with narcotics packaging.

Gamble Jr. was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine).
Gamble Sr. was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified).
The men were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
