SHADY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Two Tug Valley Lady Panthers senior basketball stars played in the Scott Brown All-Star Classic at Shady Spring High School on Saturday afternoon.

Haven Deskins and Bailee Hall played together for the elite team.

Deskins finished the all-star contest with eight points, five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. The sharpshooter also won the 3-point contest and received a huge trophy for that accomplishment.

Hall had five points, nine rebounds and one assist in the game, featuring some of the best seniors in the Mountain State.

The Class AAA/AA team, coached by Greenbrier East head coach Jim Justice, defeated the Class A/4A team 88-47.

Both Deskins and Hall were first-team Class A All-State selections last month and both made the all-tourney team at the West Virginia State High School Basketball Tournament. The two helped lead Coach Seth Ooten’s Lady Panthers to the state tournament in the past two seasons.

John Frisby of Riverside and Jamie LeMaster of George Washington coached the Class A/4A All-Star team.

It was a great way for the two Tug Valley seniors to wind up their prep basketball careers.

Hall is also an All-Stater in softball and plans to attend West Virginia State to play softball there this fall.
