Martin County grand jury returns indictments in meth, burglary, juvenile vape cases

INEZ — The Martin County grand jury returned indictments Thursday in cases involving alleged drug trafficking, storage-unit burglaries, bail jumping and the sale of marijuana products to a juvenile.

Among the indictments were charges against two Inez residents accused of trafficking methamphetamine and Buprenorphine after police allegedly found 71.62 grams of methamphetamine, cash, scales and packaging materials during a Feb. 12 encounter.

Brandi Moore

Brandi Moore, 36, of Inez, was indicted on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree (over 2 grams of methamphetamine)-complicity and trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree (less than 20 dosage units)-complicity.

The indictment states Moore acted alone or in complicity with Larry Horn when police caught them with 71.62 grams of methamphetamine in multiple plastic baggies, $1,653 in cash, digital scales, individual plastic baggies and 10 dosage units of Buprenorphine Feb. 12 with the intent of trafficking or by trafficking the methamphetamine and Buprenorphine. Bail was set at $10,000.

Larry Horn Jr.

Larry Horn Jr., 58, of Inez, was indicted on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree (over 2 grams of methamphetamine)-complicity, trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree (less than 20 dosage units)-complicity, obstructed vision and/or windshield and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

The indictment states Horn acted alone or in complicity with Moore when police caught them with 71.62 grams of methamphetamine in multiple plastic baggies, $1,653 in cash, digital scales, individual plastic baggies and 10 dosage units of Buprenorphine Feb. 12 with the intent of trafficking or by trafficking the methamphetamine and Buprenorphine. The indictment also states Horn operated a motor vehicle with a sign, sun screening material or product covering a windshield and had an open alcoholic beverage container inside a motor vehicle on a Kentucky roadway. Bail was set at $10,000.

Rose Johnson

Rose Johnson, 54, of Inez, was indicted on three counts of burglary in the third degree, one count of possession of burglary tools and one count of criminal mischief in the second degree.

The indictment alleges Johnson committed three burglaries Feb. 25 and Feb. 26 by entering storage units at Tri-County Self Storage in Tomahawk owned by the business and rented or maintained by Kathy Williamson with the intent to commit theft.

It further alleges Johnson possessed tools or instruments designed or commonly used for forcible entry or theft under circumstances that left no reasonable doubt of her intent to use them in the commission of an offense.

The indictment also alleges she damaged, destroyed or defaced property belonging to Tri-County Self Storage in an amount of less than $1,000. Bail was set at $5,000.

Marsha Patrick Fletcher

Marsha Patrick Fletcher, 48, of Pilgrim, was indicted on a charge of bail jumping in the first degree.

The indictment states Fletcher failed to appear March 5 for a change of plea/pretrial conference in Martin Circuit Court case no. 25-CR-00033 after being released from custody on the condition that she would appear. Bail was set at $5,000.

Fletcher was indicted on the same charge in a separate indictment, tied to a change of plea/pretrial conference on the same date in Martin Circuit Court case no. 25-CR-00032. Bail in that case was set at $5,000.

Linda Slone, 53, of Inez, was indicted on unlawful transaction in the second degree and wanton endangerment in the first degree, complicity.

The indictment states that Jan. 8, 2026, and Jan. 16, 2026, Slone acted alone or in complicity with Thelma Goforth in inducing, assisting or causing a juvenile less than 18 years of age to engage in illegal controlled substance activity involving marijuana and that her conduct created a substantial risk of danger or serious physical injury or death to a juvenile child. Bail was set at $5,000.

Thelma Goforth, 54, of Inez, was indicted on unlawful transaction in the second degree and wanton endangerment in the first degree, complicity.

The indictment states that Jan. 8, 2026, and Jan. 16, 2026, Goforth acted alone or in complicity with Linda Slone in inducing, assisting or causing a juvenile less than 18 years of age to engage in illegal controlled substance activity involving marijuana and that her conduct created a substantial risk of danger or serious physical injury or death to a juvenile child. Bail was set at $5,000.
