Mingo County arrest report week of March 22

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Magistrate Court clerk’s office released these criminal complaints, recent arrests and arraignments.

Christi Michelle Brown

Christi Michelle Brown, 47, address listed as homeless, formerly of Houston, Texas, was charged with several charges in an incident involving Truist Bank. Those include financial exploitation of an elderly person, taking another person’s identity, forgery, computer fraud, grand larceny and obtaining money under false pretenses. She allegedly withdrew over $5,000 from an account that was not hers.

Brown was arrested by Chief N. Glanden of the Gilbert Police Department (GPD). Magistrate Dave Justice arraigned her. Bond was set at $50,000.

M. Rebecca Tester

Michelle Rebecca Tester, 59, of Williamson, was charged with speeding and driving on a revoked license for DUI (third offense). She was arrested by West Virginia State Trooper (WVSP) Trooper J. C. Morrison.

Jason Glen Collins, 47, of Williamson, was charged with petit larceny (shoplifting) at a Dollar General Store. He was arrested by Sgt. J. T. McCown of the Williamson Police Department (WPD).

James E. Neace, 57, of Turkey Creek, Kentucky, was charged with driving on a suspended license and operating an unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle. He was arrested by WVSP Sr. Trooper J. Marcum.

Kelly Lawson, 47, of North Matewan, was charged with trespassing and destruction of property. He was arrested by the MCSD.

Robert Lee Dillon

Robert Lee Dillon, 47, of Kermit, was arrested by deputies of the MCSD on a grand larceny warrant from Logan County and for prohibited persons with a firearm.

Lawrence Stevenson

Lawrence Stevenson, 36, of Red Jacket, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance (meth). The U.S. 119 Drug Task Force arrested him.

Audrey Lynn Dempsey Hall

Audrey Lynn Dempsey Hall, 39, of Delbarton, was charged with 14 counts of forgery. She was arrested by the MCSD.

Cristel Adkins

Cristel Adkins, 48, of Winco Lane, Williamson, was charged with petit larceny and destruction of property. Officer J. T. McCown arrested her.

Gregory A. Messer

Gregory A. Messer, 65, of Kermit, was arrested by Deputy B. T. Sipple, Sgt. P. Muncy and Cpl. E. Williams for driving while license suspended for DUI second, no proof of insurance and no seat belt.

All of the defendants were arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
