Eden sweeps Martin County Elementary Volleyball tournament

WARFIELD — Eden Elementary put together a commanding performance in the Martin County Elementary Volleyball tournament at Warfield Elementary School. The Wildcats won titles in the A-team, B-team and C-team divisions to complete a clean sweep of the event.

Inez Elementary finished runner-up in all three brackets and Warfield Elementary placed third in each division.
Eden’s A-team title stood as the marquee result of the tournament, as the squad defeated Inez in straight sets in the championship match 21-8, 21-16.
Inez reached the A-team final by defeating Warfield in the opening round. The first set score was 21-17, while the second set score was unavailable.
In B-team action, Inez advanced to the championship with an 18-15, 18-10 win over Warfield in the first round. Eden then claimed the title with an 18-16, 18-10 victory over Inez in the championship.
Eden also captured the C-team championship after winning a play-in match over Warfield 15-5, 15-7 to move into the title match.
In the championship, Eden edged top-seeded Inez 15-5, 16-14 to complete the sweep.
