
CITIZEN STAFF REPORT
INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

John Andrew Slone, 40, of Williamson, West Virginia, was arrested March 17 in the Martin County Sheriff’s Office in Inez on a warrant charging him with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; a warrant charging him with wanton endangerment, first degree, and public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol); and four warrants charging him with bail jumping. Deputy Billy Wells served the warrants.

Eric Donald Allen, 34, of Louisa, was arrested March 15 in Lovely on an indictment warrant from Magoffin County charging him with trafficking in controlled substance, first degree and first offense (over 2 grams of methamphetamine). Deputy JC Kirk made the arrest.

Jay Osborne, 53, of Warfield, was arrested March 14 in Warfield on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance.
Sheriff Kirk stated that Osbnorne wrecked a side-by-side on Route 292, running off the roadway and striking a telephone pole. According to the arrest report, Osborne had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and admitted he had drunk seven beers.

Kristi Dawn Fletcher, 36, of Inez, was arrested March 13 at Quail Hollow in Inez on a warrant from Jefferson County and two warrants from Lawrence County charging her with two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition/shoplifting, engaging in organized crime, possession of controlled substance, first degree (fentanyl), acquisition of retail merchandise for resale, two counts of possession of controlled substance (heroin), and possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine). Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Rose Ellen Johnson, 54, of Inez, was arrested March 10 on Rockcastle Road on a warrant charging her with third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $1,000-$10,000, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief second degree.
Deputy Jameson Wall states that Feb. 25 through Feb. 26 Johnson used bolt cutters to cut the locks on several storage units in Inez and removed items from the units. Johnson allegedly took a teal-colored gown valued at over $1,000, a jewelry box, a flat-screen TV and various other items.
According to the complaint, police viewed a video of Johnson committing the act.

Krystal Leann Cooper, 35, was arrested March 10 in Warfield on an indictment warrant charging her with assault third degree-police officer or probation officer, escape third degree and disorderly conduct second degree. Deputy Wall served the warrant around 9:39 p.m.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
