Rose Ellen Crum
1964—2026

Rose Ellen Crum, 61, of Wittensville, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, at ARH Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 27, 1964, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of Mary Frances Crum and the late Benny Jo Crum.

Rose was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the time she cherished with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Rose is survived by four children: Shaunda Crum of Inez, Garrett Stroud of Paintsville, Joseph Stroud of Louisa and Brianna Harless of Warfield. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory. Additional survivors include her siblings, Brenda Preece of Inez and Emzie Crum of Fort Gay, West Virginia, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed her home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Callaham Funeral Home in Inez with Tommy Sammons officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home of Inez.
