INEZ — Martin County wrestling placed a strong contingent on the Region 8 All-Region Team, with several Cardinals earning postseason honors for their performances during the 2025-26 season.

Leading the way, eighth-grader Brody Jewell earned First Team All-Region honors and the Region 8 Most Outstanding Wrestler award, as voted by the coaches. The MOW achievement speaks to his dominance on the mat this season. He is the reigning 106-pound KHSAA Region 8 champion.

Joining Jewell on the First Team are Jeremy Mollett, Blake Lemaster, Chase Messer, Noah Bowens, Parker Maynard, James Begley, Easton Slone and Brayden Fannin.

Martin County also placed two wrestlers on the Second Team All-Region with Jeremy Begley and Cole Jewell earning those honors.

Rounding out the postseason recognition for the Cardinals, Blake Stacy received Honorable Mention All-Region honors.
