Billy Joe Keathley
1959—2026

Billy Joe Keathley, 66, of Turkey Creek, passed away March 5, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center.

Born Aug. 7, 1959, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Marcus Keathley and Barbara Miner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Darrell Keathley, his wife Cindy, and a sister-in-law, Janice Keathley.

Billy was a retired coal miner from Mill Branch Coal Company.

Known for his big, loving heart, he was always looking out for others and willing to serve and help. Although he was known for his quiet demeanor, Billy’s love was loud.

He was gentle, kind, thoughtful and generous to all who knew him.

You would find him every day searching for a deal to buy, trade or sell.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn (Cookie) Caudill Keathley of Turkey Creek; his children Eric (Samantha) Keathley and Heathy (Stepanie) Keathley, both of Prestonsburg, Keven (Hannah) Caudill of Georgetown and Shawn (Charity) Caudill of Charleston, West Virginia; his grandchildren Mica, Emma, Sophia, Harper, Taylor, Sawyer, Alley, Steph, Shailey and Laney; and his great-grandchildren Isabella, Grayson and Remi.

He also leaves behind his four brothers, Ricky (Debi) Keathley, Clarence (Gloria) Keathley, Terry (Eula) Keathley and Scott Keathley, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, including a special nephew, Jamey (Mable) Keathley.

Per Billy’s request, he will be cremated with no services. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Billy Joe Keathley.
