BY JACK WARD
Two things in the Bible prove the Bible is the accurate, complete word of God—the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of Israel.
No one has ever come up with evidence to dispute that Jesus rose from the dead, NO ONE. And now the evidence is indisputable that God raised Israel from the dead.
In May 1948 the United Nations declared Israel to be a nation again after being scattered all over the world for 1878 years.
They maintained their language, kept their heritage and became hated of all men during this time. God used this hatred of the Jews to keep them together and preserve their heritage despite being scattered throughout the world. And now God is calling them back to their land in the last days.
We do well to take heed to the marvelous work of God among His chosen people.
In Genesis 1-11, God created the world for people; after Genesis 12, God created a people for the world. Then in the New Testament, God gave a Savior to ALL the people of the world.
There are several passages below that specifically fulfill God’s prophecies about Israel surviving and even being brought back from all the nations of the world, and that they would be back in their land in the last days.
This, my friends, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Bible is the word of God. Some of these prophecies were written over 2,700 years before Israel became a nation again. They are amazing in their detail and their accuracy. These are just a small sample:
Genesis 12:2-3: “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
The Jews dispersion in AD 70 was predicted hundreds of years before it happened. Deuteronomy 4:27-31: “And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.”
The Old Testament predicted over 2,500 years in advance that Israel would return to their land in the last days.
Ezekiel 37:14: “And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.”
Deuteronomy 30:3: “That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.”
Zechariah 12:9: “Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.”
There are over 1,000 prophecies in the Bible. The Bible is almost one-third prophetic in nature. More than half of these prophecies have already been fulfilled in Israel and the Lord Jesus Christ. We would have to be blind and totally unwilling to admit the truth, that God’s true and only word is contained in the book we call the BIBLE.
