WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Mingo County Magistrate Court recently released several arrest reports.
Ashley Hauser, 39, of Ransom, Kentucky, was charged with child neglect stemming from an incident in September 2025. The West Virginia State Police arrested her.
In a separate case, Hauser, now reportedly living at Victoria Courts Apartments in Williamson, was charged with destruction of property, making false statements and fleeing an officer after allegedly cutting internet cable outside several residences. The incident was reported by a Verizon employee responding to internet and phone outages in the area.
Nathaniel Cheremka, 29, of North Carolina, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, speeding and no proof of insurance. Sgt. Holden of the West Virginia State Police stopped Cheremka on U.S. 119 after clocking his vehicle traveling between 85 and 90 mph by radar. When approaching the Honda that Cheremka was driving, the trooper reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Jake Potter of North Carolina, a passenger in Cheremka’s vehicle, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
Shawna Marie Canta, 44, of Matewan, was charged with three counts of animal cruelty. She was arrested by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputies M. Tiller and J. May.
Christy Workman, 56, of Williamson, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) following a traffic stop in Dingess. Deputies said Workman provided false identification. She was arrested by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputies B.T. Sipple and T.J. Justice.
Eugenia Hatfield, 41, of Delbarton, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance following a traffic stop by West Virginia State Police Trooper Kitts.
Justin Woodall, 35, of Gilbert, was charged with public intoxication, domestic violence, domestic assault, destruction of property, false reporting and trespassing. He was arrested by Senior Trooper J. Marcum of the West Virginia State Police.
Donovan Cory Willis, 33, of Williamson, was charged with transferring and receiving stolen property, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance. He was arrested by Trooper J. Kitts of the West Virginia State Police.
David Cook, 25, of Stopover, Kentucky, was charged with transferring and receiving stolen property, obstructing an officer and providing false information. He was arrested by West Virginia State Police Troopers Kitts and Marcum.
Kyra Blankenship, 20, of Phelps, Kentucky, was charged with obstructing an officer and fleeing on foot. She was arrested by West Virginia State Police Troopers Marcum and Kitts.
Leroy Joseph Stepp, 51, of Delbarton, was charged with possession of fentanyl, being a habitual drug user and no proof of insurance. He was arrested by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputies Tiller and Thomas. Jennifer Sue Stepp, 47, of Delbarton, who was also in the vehicle, faces a drug possession charge.
William W. Newsome of Kermit was charged with domestic assault, wanton endangerment, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, destruction of property, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and obstructing an officer. He was arrested by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputies M. Tiller and R. Moore with assistance from West Virginia State Police Trooper Z. Bragg.
Cody Jacob Bailey, 34, of Panther, was charged with receiving and transferring stolen goods. He was arrested by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.
Robert D. Morgan, 55, of Hanover, was charged with receiving and transferring stolen goods. He was arrested by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.
Keith A. Hill, 34, of Delbarton, was charged with receiving and transferring stolen goods. He was arrested by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.
Kenneth Cyrus, 47, of Wharncliffe, was charged with receiving and transferring stolen goods. He was arrested by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.
Isaac E. Mitchem, 41, of Varney, was charged with driving suspended DUI, no registration, no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. He was arrested by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department.
Vanessa Stanley, 43, of Williamson, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone). The West Virginia State Police arrested her.
Michael Aliff, 38, of Williamson, was charged with fleeing police officers, possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone), driving on a suspended license and no insurance or registration.
Takara Smith of Chattaroy was charged with destruction of property, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving. She was arrested by the Williamson Police Department.
Kenneth Hager of Williamson was charged with domestic violence. He was arrested by the Williamson Police Department.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
