CITIZEN STAFF REPORT
The Martin County Public Library is turning to the community it serves, inviting residents to help chart the institution’s future. The library is accepting applications for its board of trustees, a volunteer body that shapes policy, guides long-term planning and works to ensure programs and resources reflect the evolving needs of Martin County.
Library officials say they are seeking individuals who care about the community, support education and literacy and are willing to attend regular meetings.
No specialized background is necessary, only a commitment to public service and a belief in the library’s mission.
For those interested in applying or learning more, applications are available at the Collier Center’s front desk.
