
Billie Jean Fields
1942—2026
Billie Jean Fields, 83, of Whitehouse, passed away Feb. 27, 2026, at her residence.
Born Nov. 18, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Lushie Marcum.
Known affectionately as “Billie,” she found her greatest joy in spreading the gospel and fulfilling the calling on her life. She spoke to everyone she met about the love of Jesus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Fields; brothers, Hubert, Luther, Andy, Marion Jr. and Ray Marcum; and one sister, Eula Dean (Bobby) Fields.
Billie is survived by her children: Dottie (Eddie) Stepp, Jackie (Clay) Crum, Angie Fields and Dorsey (Joni) Fields II. Her grandchildren also survive her: Joe (Jessica) Stepp, Lorne Crum, Mia Fields and Brock Fields, along with one great-grandchild, Brayden Stepp. She also leaves behind a special friend, Colleen Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Dorsey Fields II and Dottie Stepp officiating. Burial will follow at the Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday starting at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
