For those who are interested in UFOs and the government cover-up that has gone on for many years, there was some recent good news.
President Donald Trump has directed his administration to release files on UFOs and any “alien and extraterrestrial life.” He is the first president to do this, especially about an issue that has raised many questions over the past 80 years.
The news hit the national TV channels Feb. 19 and was a bit of a surprise. This was not news reports from tabloids but from legitimate news sources and programs like CNN, News Nation, FOX and many more.
There had been recent rumors that Trump may give a speech this summer on the topic and release any information that has been kept secret or hidden away.
In a Truth Social post, President Trump told Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other agency heads “to begin the process of identifying and releasing” any relevant files.
Trump also called for the release of “any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important matters.”
It is still not clear what UFO or alien files will reveal.
The Pentagon has tracked reports of what it calls unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) for decades, according to one report. However, the military said in a 2024 report that there is no evidence that any government investigation into UAPs has confirmed the existence of extraterrestrial life.
Trump’s order came just a few days after one of his predecessors, former President Barack Obama, made waves by telling a podcaster that “aliens are real.” He later clarified that he never saw evidence of contact between humans and extraterrestrial life during his time in the White House and he primarily believes that extraterrestrial life is real. Obama said, “Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there,” national news programs reported.
“I may get him out of trouble by declassifying,” President Trump said of the order and what Obama said.
You have to admire Trump for finally removing the stigma of the UFO and alien topic. If there is truth to this subject then the people have a right to know.
I can see the reason for keeping the secrets back in the 1940s when the alleged Roswell, New Mexico, UFO crash occurred and through the 1950s and 1960s. Roswell is maybe the most publicized possible crash and retrieval of aliens and their technology, if it is true. But there are many other cases and thousands of reports around the world.
Perhaps humanity could not have handled such truth during that era.
But times have changed, and I am sure the world can accept the truth. I think many believe there is something to this interesting matter.
Interest in UFOs (now UAPs) has grown in recent years. Military pilots and service personnel have reported spotting unexplained objects in the sky, leading many lawmakers to press the Pentagon to investigate the phenomena.
Some think that there could be a threat to safety or national security.
In the last couple of years, whistleblowers have come forward, many of them experienced pilots, and admitted to seeing UFOs and even videoing them from their fighter jets.
If the government has no evidence of extraterrestrial beings or UFOs, then why have they been so close-lipped on the reports for years?
This is a subject I have been very interested in and have written about throughout the years and even had two books published on sightings in Appalachia.
So this could be exciting news. Hopefully, no one will try to block the president by claiming these files cannot be released to the public.
Just as with the Epstein files and other recent documents released, the voting public has a right to know the truth.
Until next time.
