INEZ — Braxton Keathley is set to make another recruiting swing through the University of Louisville.

The 6-foot-5 point guard from Martin County High School (Class of 2027) has an unofficial visit scheduled for Feb. 9, giving him another opportunity to spend time around the program and get a closer look at the Cardinals’ setup.

Keathley has backed up the buzz with production all season. He’s averaging 31 points, 9.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 3.3 steals per game while shooting 56% from the field and 45.5% from beyond the arc. He is also clutch at the free-throw line, hitting 82.1%.

The standout guard has helped push Martin County to a regional All ‘A’ championship this season and has played a major role in several marquee wins along the way.

Interest around him continues to expand, with a growing list of high-major programs keeping tabs. University of Kentucky, Purdue University, Louisiana State University, Florida State University, Creighton University and Stanford University are among the schools showing strong interest, and Louisville has remained consistently involved.

The Feb. 9 visit will not be Keathley’s first time on campus. He took an unofficial trip in early October, during which he toured the facilities, sat down with head coach Pat Kelsey and the staff, watched practice, and also attended a Louisville vs. Virginia football game.

Keathley also plans to make another trip to LSU in the coming weeks, with the date still to be determined.
