Martin County Arrests

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Noah Bowen

Noah Bowen, 67, of Inez, was arrested Tuesday in Inez on a bench warrant. Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.

Dylan Frasure

Dylan Frasure, 29, of Warfield, was arrested Sunday for first-degree burglary and first-degree strangulation. Deputy John C. Kirk made the arrest.

Chase Hale

Chase Hale, 18, of Lovely, was arrested Saturday in Lovely on a bench warrant related to charges of resisting arrest, menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct. Deputy Kidd made the arrest.

Alice Porter

Alice Porter, 43, of Inez, was arrested Saturday in Inez for public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and second-degree indecent exposure. Deputy David Adams made the arrest and reported that he responded to a call to 911 from a female that the dispatcher could not understand. Upon arrival, Adams found Porter running around the Old Rainbow Restaurant in just her undergarment, completely topless. The deputy said Porter advised the only thing she took was marijuana.

Linda Crum

Linda Crum, 65, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in Inez for public intoxication. Deputy Kidd responded to a call about a woman passed out in her vehicle at Family Dollar. The deputy reported that Crum was slumped over in the driver seat with the vehicle engine off, had slurred speech, and did not realize where she was sitting. According to Kidd, Crum advised she had taken pain meds and sleep meds, and she could not keep her balance well enough to perform the walk and turn or one-leg stand.

Josh Kirk

Josh Kirk, 41, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday in Inez on a warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Matthew Anthony Blevins

Matthew Anthony Blevins, 37, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday in Lovely for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Deputy J.C. Kirk reported Blevins was walking on the roadway near Lovely Zip Zone and seemed nervous and intoxicated when the deputy stopped to check on him. According to Kirk, Blevins admitted that he had suboxone on his person and consented to a search. Officers found two separate bags containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Austin W. Crum

Austin W. Crum, 27, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 3 in Lovely on a warrant out of Pike District Court. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest.

Homer Gary Evans

Homer Gary Evans, 65, of Lovely, was arrested Aug. 3 in Lovely on a bench warrant. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Timothy N. Brown

Timothy N. Brown, 66, of Debord, was arrested Aug. 2 in Debord for DUI and resisting arrest. Deputy Kidd was dispatched to New Route 3 above Subway for a vehicle in the ditch. Unit 40 arrived on the scene before Kidd and advised that Brown was not cooperating and was actively resisting. According to Kidd, Brown had noticeably slurred speech and could not keep his balance; and stated he was trying to drive to see his daughter and had consumed approximately three beers. The preliminary breath test result was 0.18. Brown consented to blood testing.
