EDEN — Eden Elementary School’s Junior Future Problem Solving Team has earned a Top 10 finish in Kentucky and will advance to the state finals after placing eighth overall at the Junior FPS qualifying competition Dec. 4.
According to the official results, Eden Elementary finished eighth among teams from across the state, securing a spot in the Junior FPS State Finals Competition scheduled for March 20 in Louisville. Winners will be announced during the Governor’s Cup State Finals.

“Eden Elementary is proud of its Junior Future Problem Solving Team,” school administrators said in a statement. “What an amazing honor. We are beyond proud of our Junior FPS Team for this incredible accomplishment.”
Junior Future Problem Solving challenges students to think critically and creatively about real-world and future issues. Teams research a future-based topic, identify key problems, develop innovative solutions and create a detailed action plan while working collaboratively and communicating effectively.
“These skills prepare students to be thoughtful leaders and problem-solvers for the future,” administrators said.
Team members include Paige Stafford, Parker Stafford, Peyton Crum and Keilin Whitten.

School officials also thanked coaches Mrs. Chasity Crum and Mrs. Lora Hale for their guidance and support.
“This achievement reflects the hard work, creativity and dedication of our students,” administrators said.
“We are so excited to see what’s next and couldn’t be prouder of our team. Way to go, Wildcats.”
