PRESTONSBURG — Keilian Jewell was in the zone Monday, tallying four hits and leading Martin County Varsity Cardinals to an 18-6 win over Prestonsburg.
Jewell singled in the second, doubled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.
Martin County collected 17 hits and Prestonsburg had six in the high-scoring affair.
Martin County put up six runs in the fifth inning.
Cardinal batters contributing to the big inning included Zoie Hinkle, Jewell, Sophie Harless and Brittany Thompson, all driving in runs.
Prestonsburg scored three runs in the fourth inning. Tiffany Risner, Jayda Slone and Chloe Collins each had RBIs in the big inning.
