The Martin County Extension Office is partnering with Linda’s Gymsters and the Martin County Public Library to host the free 2-mile dash at 7 p.m. Aug. 5.
The CDC’s HOP (High Obesity Population) grant is funding the event to increase physical activity in the community, particularly walking.

The first 150 participants will also receive a drink tumbler and lanyard.
You can participate with a family member or friend, try to beat your best time, or walk at a leisurely pace for some relaxing exercise.
Every finisher will receive a ribbon, certificate and free swag bag.
Awards include first, second and third place for adults 18-plus, teens 13-17, and youth 12 and under.
The oldest, youngest and fastest family in town will also get awards.
