Ima Jean (Collins) Parsons

(1965—2022)

Ima Jean Parsons, 57, of Warfield, passed away March 17, 2022, at Highlands Appalachian Regional Hospital in Prestonsburg.

Born March 18, 1964, on Wolf Creek, she was the child of the late Jeff and Ruth Jude Collins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers, Jimmy Collins, Ronald Collins and John Collins, and three sisters, Lucille Raines, Rose Patrick and Darlene Preece.

She is survived by four sons, Derek (Lejeana) Parsons and Montgomery Parsons, both of Warfield, Devan (Tierra) Parsons of Wolf Creek and Anthony (Erica) Preece of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Alisha (James) Patrick of Morehead; and six sisters, Letha Smith of Warfield, Odessa Fields of Crum, W.Va., Rebecca Patrick of Inez, Grace Yont of Missouri, Debra Collins of Columbus, Ohio, and Mary Cline of Lovely. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Titan, Arianna, Garrett, Brody, Logan, Harper, Kinley and Morgan.

The funeral was Sunday, March 20, 2022, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home, Inez, with Neil Patrick and Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial was in the Maynard Cemetery, under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
