INEZ — Martin County residents can do something nice for their hearts Aug. 3 as the King’s Daughters Mobile Health Unit will offer EKG screenings at the Martin County Senior Citizens Center.
The mobile unit will operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Residents can schedule an appointment by calling MC Senior Citizens Center director Jennifer Crum at 606-928-3549.
Crum says the screenings will help identify things that may affect your heart’s well-being like total cholesterol levels, blood sugar and blood pressure. KD personnel will also measure blood oxygen levels and perform a screening EKG, which could help identify heart rhythm issues.
“They’ll go over your results with you and give you recommendations for follow-up and ideas on how to take better care of your heart,” said Crum.
