Margaret Helen Parsley
1932—2022
Margaret Helen Parsley, 90, of Kermit, W.Va., passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at her home.
She was born June 16, 1932, to the late George Edward and Bertie Eastburn Akers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Drewey C. Parsley, daughter Tina Sue Parsley, brothers Edward Lee (Helen Akers), Fred Monroe (Pauline) Akers and James Steward (Juanita) Akers, sister Frances Louise (Buddy) Taylor, nephews David Lee and Glenn Ray Akers and nieces Linda Kay Wardrep and Betty Jane Akers.
Margaret is survived by her nephews Bruce Akers of Kermit, George Thomas (Brenda) Akers of Pilgrim and Terry James (Dorothy) Akers of Oklahoma, niece Joyce Akers of Kermit and a host of great nieces and nephews. Thank you to her caregivers who took good care of her: Dorothy Linville, Bonneta Davis, Haley Marcum, Elaine Newsome, Ruth Kirk, Julie Evans and Tina Crum.
Margaret loved to sit on the front porch watching traffic go by, working on her word search books and watching TV. She was of the Methodist faith.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home, with Bobby Alley officiating. Burial was at the Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, W.Va., under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
