Marsha Lynn Marcum Hall, 48, a member of the Olive Hill Church of Christ, of Olive Hill, entered eternal rest Dec. 5, 2025, at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born July 11, 1977, in Ashland, she was the daughter of Tommy Darrell Marcum and Eva Crum.
Marsha grew up on Spring Hill Dairy Farm with her siblings, Beth and Paul, where she learned the value of hard work, which she carried throughout her life. She was a 1995 graduate of East Carter High School and a 1998 graduate of the Department of Criminal Justice Training at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. Upon graduation, she served the community with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. During her career, she also served as a School Resource Officer with the Olive Hill and Grayson police departments and was a member of the Ashland Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3. Marsha loved being a police officer and carried a deep passion for helping those in need, especially the children she interacted with throughout her career in Carter County. Marsha dedicated her life to law enforcement until her career was sadly cut short in 2020 due to treatments for her cancer diagnosis.
Marsha was married to her husband of 25 years, Bobby Hall, and together they raised their three children, Nathan, Stacy and Sarah, and a special grandson, Hudson, whom Marsha loved dearly.
Marsha was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tom Marcum, of Beauty, and her dear aunt, Karen Marcum, also of Beauty.
Marsha is survived by her parents, Tommy Darrell (Linda) Marcum of Grayson and Eva Crum of Olive Hill; her daughters, Stacy Marcum (David Wagoner) of Olive Hill and Sarah Hall (Brennan Dennis) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; stepson, Nathan Hall of Olive Hill; and cherished grandson, Hudson Salyers of Olive Hill.
