Claude William Woolridge III
1947—2025

Claude William Woolridge III, 78, of Kingsport, Tennessee, formerly of Syracuse, New York, passed away Nov. 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 14, 1947, in Syracuse, New York, and spent most of his life in Charleston, South Carolina.

He was the son of the late Claude William Woolridge Sr. and Mary Delinsky Woolridge of Syracuse. Claude retired after 35 years from Kapstone Papermill, WestRock, now SC Ports. He was highly active and enjoyed water and all outdoor sports.

He is survived by his wife, Arthena “Tina” Woolridge of Kermit, West Virginia; three siblings, Sean, Scott and Kimberly, all of Syracuse; and several extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. Funeral services were held at Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield Chapel in Warfield, Kentucky, on Monday, Dec. 1, with Pastor Russell Ball officiating. Burial followed at the family cemetery in Rosetown, Kermit, West Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky
